Two things interest me when I watched this episode. This is a story where we know for sure that it was Scott who wanted his wife dead. We know this from the secretly recorded conversations by the detectives.

Here are two video sub-clips from the show that interest me. I’ll tell you why below the videos.

Clip 1

In clip 1 above Scott’s mistress/girlfriend (who assisted police in taping the conversation) is speaking to him. One thing that Scott said stood out for me. He said “My hands are  clean as they can be”.  This is something a person with guilty knowledge would say!! Why would an innocent person think about keeping their ‘hands clean’??

In clip 2, do you see Scott’s discomfort? It could be thought of as stage fright, nervousness,…etc. But in this case we know why now. His hands are concealed in his pockets the entire time, and there’s hint of fear on his face, especially when he was looking at his kids on stage. Overall, he looks uncomfortable! Discomfort is not something a grieving husband should display while talking about his murdered wife. Where’s the anger, sadness, determination to find the killer? Scott doesn’t know any of that?!

In the end he got what he deserved – a life sentence!
